Deck Building and Sharing Made Easy

In a prior post I discussed how to play 7th Sea online using the Octgn game engine. This post will also focus on Octgn and discuss its merits for Deck Building, Card Search, and sharing your creations with the rest of the community.

For those of you who enjoy other CCGs you know that there are a lot of tools available to help manage your collection, search for cards, and build your decks. Octgn very easily allows you to manage the latter two of those items with a clean user interface. The card database is very comprehensive, and you will find all the cards you know and love with updated errata. There are a few cards without images or missing all together, but that will be fixed in time.

If you did not play the later sets, which are great by the way, then this tool will let you easily see cards by set, search with filters, and view all the juicy 7th Sea goodness you can handle. As you craft your deck you can keep your starting crew, ship, and captain separate from the rest of your deck and they will popup first when your load the deck to play a game.

*Make sure to save the 5 Seas in your starting crew as the game table does not pre-populate those at the moment.

Perhaps most compelling for our merry 7th Sea community is the ability to save and share decks with a URL. A few starter decks can be found on the Let's Play! page of the site and more will be added. If you have a deck you would like to share please submit it, so it can be posted to the site.

Please let me know if you have any thoughts or comments and Happy Gaming!
